Expo 2000, Hannover
Fondest memory: unfortunately I don't remember at which pavilion I took this picture :-( Maybe at the pavilion of Indonesia??? If anyone out there knows or has an idea whose pavilion this is / could be, then please let me know! Thanks!
...someone peeing at the Icelandic pavilion ;-) All this water at the different pavilions drove him crazy I guess ;-)
Nah, honestly he just made it look like he was ;-) Unlike some Hannoverarian prince which is related to a famous family in Monaco...
The Expro2000. After about 150-year's effort, Germany was able to host for the first time for a Weltausstellung.
It is not a very interesting place to visit, since the expectation of the visitors could mostly not be satisfied. But you have to go there, if you ever visit Hannover.
Achtung!!! The Expro will be closed on Oct. 31, 2000. But some part of the exhibition, such as the ThemePark will still be there.
Inside of the Belgium Pavillon you find a lot of interesting things about Belgium!!This Photo shows a roundabout. Also you find there a little bit of Historic, famous cyclist a lot of industry informations.Brewery Informations and so on.
And this evening we got a little bit of beer for free!!It was a spezial promotion!!!!
Fondest memory: the pavilion of Singapore was one of my favorites. I really liked the idea with the colonial buildings.
Fondest memory: The art project 'InBetween' had a few weird installations. Including this snow - daily except mondays and thursdays ;-) Very innovative!
Fondest memory: ..including a great performance by Lenni-Kalle Taipale and his band. He's a really young Finnish Jazz pianist!!
Fondest memory: The Finnish national day. It was the hottest day of the whole year and they had a sauna on the plaza. Really great!
Fondest memory: ..another part of the mad French performance was that you had to pour your own wine from this guy. Really embarrassing!!!
Some French madmen and their strange performance. One naked guy was covered with sausage...
I never saw so many people refusing free sandwiches!!!
Fondest memory: The Brazilian national day including the funniest time I ever spent in a bus because this bus was full of singing happy Brazilian women!
Fondest memory: The Last night of the Proms broadcast, organized by the British pavilion. We painted everyone's faces and sang along to all the songs...good fun!
Favorite thing: You missed the EXPO. It was fantastic!! That's why this page is about the past (Expo) and the present of my hometown Hannover...
Favorite thing: This Photo shows the Pavillion from Norway!I was inside and I must say:Don't go inside!!!! It's not interesting!
Favorite thing: The Africa-Hall. This Photo shows a little village who was built just with old Cans.Everything are built with these cans,chairs,tables....
