Taxis during CeBit or Hannover Fair
During CeBit and Hannover Fair many people from the whole world come to Hannover. Prices rise and taxis take longer ways as normally. Better take the metro. The fare for the metro is normally included in the entrance fee for Hannover Fair.

I would say that Hannover is a safe city... I always use the U-Bahn to get home at night and nothing bad ever happened to me....
Also huge events like football games are something you can send your kids alone....especially when Germany is playing against Faroe Islands in the qualification for the Euro championships.......Lovely fans. I´m looking forward to the football world championship 2006. A few games will be in Hannover!!!!!!!
Probably more a Stupidity...
Probably more a Stupidity confession and it could happen to you anywhere in the world. I was trying to get some water out of my ear (having gone swimming in the morning) and hit my head on the sink in the bathroom - messy and lots of ice and rest required. Fortunately I didn't crack the sink! But I was able to find some Arnika at the train station and it worked wonders on helping the bruise to heal.
So - word of advice is ... don't hit your head on a sink basin. Not clever!
Don't tell us Hannoverians that we live in a boring city. We know it and it's ok when we say that it's boring but we don't want to hear it from anyone, got me? ;-)
be careful with the tram
if you are not used to a tram, you might be a bit startled when suddenly a tram passes the street. Take care, when you here something ringing loud, could be a tram and not only a bicycle.... :-)
Be careful for falling knifes...
Be careful for falling knifes !!!
