This is an original Frisian spirit (The German part of Friesland) It is the original of all spirits to be served flaming. Vol. is 56% Alcohol.

PS: I have one bottle even nicer from the one in the picture here, it have a miniature wooden shoe attached to the bottle

Like is any place in Germany, there is the region brewery, and here I found this Flensburger beer very good. Also with their stylish bottle it can even be a souvenir.
My favourite with the food was Flensburger Dunkel and on a hot summer day was the Flensburger Pils.

Some parts of Lower Saxony are often considered are the areas where the best Hochdeutsch is spoken, namely the standard version of the German language.

Nevertheless, several dialects usually referred to as Plattdeutsch are still spoken in some areas. Particularly lively is the dialect spoken in Eastern Frisia, a dialect of Lower Saxon strongly related to the Frisian spoken to the other side of the border, in the Netherlands, and hardly understandable for the débutant in the language of Rilke.

This is excellent cherry liquor made in the Northwest part of this region. At list I could find it in stores in the Ostfriesland region.

Another very good regional beer is Einbecker which coming from the town of......Einbeck of course, In this case the Ur-Bock Dunkel (Dark) was excellent in the evening with a great meal.
