I went to Lueneburg with train from Braunschweig. We travelled with Niedersachsenticket so we did not used IC and changed the trains on Uelzen (i.e. with Deutsche Bahn till Uelzen and from there with Metronom till Lueneburg). If you travel there in the same way do not miss the opportunity to look at train station in Uelczen desinged by Hundertwasser.
