The Vechte river
once the city of Nordhorn was placed on an island surrounded by the river Vechte. Of course the twon is now much bigger and only a smaller part is placed on the island. Around this centrum you can go by "Tretboot", a pedal boat. Some houses next to the river have their little paddle boats there as well, it looks almost like Amsterdam.
