    Fountain

As long as most cities and villages did not have tab-water, the public fountains were the source of fresh water. This very important monument was always located in central places. The public fountain of Stadtoldendorf can still be seen on the Marketsquare. It had been rebuild in 1893. The column is from 1951. But it is on the place, where already in the Middleages the city fountain was.
