slothtraveller Says:  You can walk to the Sudstrand (South Beach) of Wilhelmshaven via a path which follows the harbour side. It's a nice walk with a cone of chips and makes it more worthwhile when you finally arrive at the beach and promenade. The promenade features a great little aquarium....

Seglerheim (WHV Sailing Club): Don't Miss The Fresh Seafood!, Wilhelmshaven

pieter_jan_v Says:  The best one is at the sailingclub at the local ferry harbour. Good fish menu and moderate pricing. The Seglerheim is a small and cozy place with wonderful view over the Jadebucht. In the summer you can make a walk over the dike after your dinner and enjoy the area. Seetunge

Wilhelmshaven from the sky

It's at the end of the Autobahn driving up North.

Wilhelmshaven is also at the end of the railroad.

Of course you can come in sailing.

At Mariensiel Hangar

During a visit at headoffice in Wilhelmshaven I took the chance to fly with this Beechcraft Sundowner from the airport of Mariensiel to the nearby islands along the North German coastal line.

There are commercial flights available at very reasonable prices.
