    Tetraeder

    by IceBear7 Written Aug 25, 2004

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

It's THE highlight in Bottrop, and part of the huge concept of industrial culture in the whole area.
The tetraeder was buildt on an artificial mountain made of waste products from coal production.
It takes some time to walk up this "mountain" to the top where you find the bizarre monument of the tetraeder. There are steps to the top, but it's not a good idea if you are afraid of heights! It even sometimes shakes a bit :-) Amazing construction and great view!

    Elvis performing here!

by egonwegh Updated Aug 2, 2013
Elvis and dancing bears, Movie Park Germany

The un-bear-able lightness of being: Elvis giving one of his best performances ever on what looks like a makeshift stage in front of a selected audience. The King is assisted by two giant cuddly bears and one tiger.

    Alpin Center

Go skiing or snowboarding in the Alpin Center, an indoor skiing place on the slag heap of an old coalmine ...
Here's a look from the outside - no snow anywhere!!!

    Go-karts Movie Park Germany

That's me - in hot pursuit of Roy. Once you're inside, most attractions in the Movie Park are free, but that doesn't include the karts, you'll have to pay a few euros extra!

    Police stunt show

by egonwegh Updated Aug 27, 2006
Scene from the local stunt show at Movie Park

A stunt show involving gangsters and the police chasing each other in cars, jumping off roofs &c. I think this must be the scene in which the gangsters are robbing the bank.
