This place looks amazing, I spotted it when we were coming into land(?!) in the Rhine park after our cablecar adventure!
After seeing it, I heard from various people in our hostel that it was fantastic....I must say...it certainly looked it! Built in Roman style, with an interior and beautiful outside areas.
I believe the cost is around 13euro per person, this includes 2 hours visit here, with use of saunas and thermal pools.
There are also Massage rooms and a restaurant.
Whilst by the Towny Hall square also take a look at the 12th century Jewish baths, visible under a glass pyramid. If you want to actually go and have a look inside then you need to ask for the key from the doorman inside the town hall building. Opening hours: Mon – Thu, 8am – 4 pm; Fri am – 11.30 am - but really you can see enough from the square through the glass pyramid.
NEAR die Kölner Seilbahn you will find the CLAUDIUS THERME, a wonderful place for a restoring SAUNA or massage or half an hour in a pleasantly bubbling jacuzi or whirlpool....
The water is azur blue, the temperature just fine and the view over River Rhein: fantastic.
