Don't forget to explore the Old Town area too. Here's a look at the delightful (and not to mention, colorful) houses found here. Get those cameras of yours ready. BTW, this area is infested with throngs of tourists and locals alike.... and it gets REALLY crowded on weekends. :-(( If you're coming here (and you really should), do set aside some time to go pub-hopping. They have some really great traditional German pubs here. Very unique. And, cool!

There was not much going on in the Alt Markt when we came here, but there were certainly plenty of beer halls and pubs

I just love the architecture in Cologne. I especially love the way this ivy climbs up the side of this building. I took this picture of my friend as she was looking at the map trying to figure out where our walking tour was taking us to next.
