In a city famous for its hundreds of bars and pubs and restaurant you would think it's hard to pick a favorite. In Düsseldorf, it's easy.
In the street with the best nitelife, Ratinger Straße, you'll find a great little pub, with a beautiful stucco ceiling, with an aquarium in the corner, large mirrors, fantastic food and even better cocktails, and the most staff in Düsseldorf. cocktail time every thursday!!!
And new: movie night every Monday! And it has to be the all time favorite bar coz they now give me cocktails that are not on the menu :-)
There is lots of bars on this street and people mostly meet in three of them. On summer evenings the real nightlife takes place ON the street though, you should hear the noise of all the people - it's amazing!
People are younger here than in the brewpubs like Schluessel or Uerige. The most popular bars in Ratinger Strasse are "Zur Uel", "Ohme Jupp" and "Zum goldenen Einhorn". They all have a very simple design and lots of atmosphere!
Dress Code: Come as you are.
This is a two-in-one place at Ratinger Straße, the street with nothing but restaurants and pubs and bars.
In the front part you have a relaxed pub atmosphere with high tables, stools and TV. In the back you find a cool stylish lounge area, very colourful, chill-out-music, very realxxxxing!
If you want to eat something take the Bruscetta with lots of garlic!!!
One of the popular pubs at Ratinger Strasse. We went here only to drink a few beers and to have dinner. The waiter brought us new beers as soon as our glasses were empty and in the end we had nearly 50 beers on our bill and we stayed for ages. Great fun. And the food - a mixture of modern stuff and traditional German/ Düsseldorf food - was brilliant as well!
Dress Code: None. More important: This place is really popular so be early if you want to sit down somewhere!
This street at the northern edge of the Altstadt gets pretty crowded at night. It's good for some drinks in the many different bars.
