Though promoted by the city as THE major tourist attraction, a harbour cruise for most people is a complete waste of money. What you end up seeing is a bunch of dilapidated industrial sites, some still in operation, others relics that closed down long ago. And just when you catch a glimpse of the beautiful Niederrhein (Lower Rhine Valley), the cruise takes a U-turn back home. Strictly only for the people seriously interested in industrial history.
