Höxter Things to Do

Thank to Mr. D. Winter, an English teacher at the Sudbury High School, was the Hoexter/ Sudbury partnership founded in May 1980. In May Hoexter is going to celebrate its partnership with Sudbury/Suffolk with a 4-days-festival.

There' s a large main lake with a wonderful, even though artificial, white beach offering options on activities such as beach volleyball, boulen, inliner skaten etc., and a playground for children as well. And there are those rather non-public lakes such as the photo shows.

The Nicolai Church was re-built about 1770 in Hoexter's center in the middle of its Market Place. The baroque Nicolai Church is surrounded by numerous historical buildings, stores, cafes and restaurants. Right beside are as well the deanery and the Markt Strasse's Fountain.

Aber er gibt sie uns nicht im Voraus, damit wir uns nicht auf uns selbst sondern allein auf Ihn verlassen.

In solchem Glauben muesste alle Angst vor der Zukunft ueberwunden sein.

Ich glaube, dass Gott kein zeitloses Fatum ist, sondern dass er auf aufrichtige Gebete und verantwortliche Taten wartet und antwortet.
