In November 2011 I visited the Altstadtbuehne for the first time. This is a small amateur theatre which shows a couple of plays a year. I really enjoyed the play.
The hall is full of tables and you can order drinks before the play and during the breaks. They also serve a couple of meaty snacks.

We came to this bar one evening to have a drink on a Friday night. They are specialised in cocktails, also non-alcoholic ones. In the warm season you can sit outside too. Their tables are on a pedestrianised square. Inside it can get rather noisy because of the music, so it might not really be the place to have deep conversations. I had the impression that this is a bit a place to see and be seen.
The bar is open from 18.30 until the last guest. Closed on Sunday and Monday.

Luedenscheid has this cinema center with a bar that sells popcorn and ice cream. You are not allowed to bring your own food and drink into the cinema. They have several halls and show a variety of films but beware that they are all dubbed into German.
The building used to house an indoor swimming pool in the old days. In the entrance hall you may notice the lamps from the sixties on the ceiling.

Situated in a former public swimming pool the Brauhaus Schillerbad has undergone some transformation in recent years. After closing the swimming pool the building was used as a youth centre to be converted and renovated to its present use a brewery, pub and restaurant with adjacent hotel. The Brauhaus brews its own beer today the Medardusbräu which is an unfiltered beer.

I visited Ludenscheid only one Saturday afternoon and I had very nice time in this small town.
