    El Paso: El Paso

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

A great Mexican restaurant in the city center of Mönchengladbach. It's a huge place, with lots of tables outside and inside. Big menu with dishes with lots of different meat and vegetarian options. Good cocktails as well. And friendly fast staff!!! Definitely a place to recommend.

Am Döre Strüxke: Simple, but very good food

    Am Dre Strxke

The "Zum Döre Strüxke" is an old restaurant-pub, the kind of pubs where the neighbourhood meet in the evening to have a beer. It quite nice there and the service is friendly.
    open daily from 5 p.m.
Sundays and on holidays "lunchtable" from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sa / So / Mo "Frühschoppen" (which means a "cosy" meeting in the morning with beer ;-)

Favorite Dish: If you like to eat simple German food it's the right place for you up from € 5 you get good meals like "Ratsherrentopf" (I really like it: meat with vegetable together in one casserole) or vegetarian food like au gratin potatoes or baked camenbert. They also serve "Kinder-" or "Seniorenteller" (plates for children or older people, which means smaller portions) for € 1,50 less.

Goody Foody: Tasty and healthy snack for the shopping break

by elbe Written Feb 13, 2003

At the Goody Foody you can have a break of your shopping tour in Mönchengladbach because it's quite close to the main shopping street, the Hindenburgstraße. You can also buy food to take-away.

Favorite Dish: I really love the freshly squeezed juices. They have very good foil-potatoes. Everything there tastes like it's very fresh (and I think it is :-)

    Empore at the Sukhothai

Nice Thai restaurant with a friendly service and great dishes. The room is not too kitschy but sill looks Asian. You can choose a lot of good dishes, also menus.

Favorite Dish: I love the "Kokossuppe". The Tempura is also a good choice. And don't miss the chicken with garlic!!
The dishes cost from 5 € up to I guess 15 €, the menues of course more.
