no hustle and no hassles, just relaxed driving through the countryside. but be aware, unlike the Autobahn, there is a speedlimit on countryside roads, 80km/h..
a picnic and a walk, that's what I like anyway
Monschau is beautiful, but in combination with the great green nature surrounding it, it is even better. Take the footpath behind the little chapel at the entrance of the village. It winds up and up into the mountains and includes perfect views on the Burg (castle) and town. The rest outside the touristic masses is also welcome, especially when you don't like that kind of tourism.
getting there is already soothing for the stressed mind and body.
wee Farms along the way and through the beautiful german Forrest, just get out of the car and stretch your legs, a stroll in the Forest, relax body and mind
:-))we like friendly people, when travelling with kids, this must be good for them, meeting Farm animals, strolling and playing in the meadows.

At the entrance of the city one can see this remarkable collection of "puppets" in a grassland near the road.
It's just a beautiful lttle village that seems a bit lost in time... and nothing seems to go fast. Certainly visit for a day and a night if you have a chance!
