On different occasions we've enjoyed there great breakfast, wonderful buffett with every fresh of goodies one can think of. And while we were there for supper, we've had some most fantastic seafood, prior to that the best of beef Carpaccio ever with arugula, roasted pine nuts, balsamic vinegar, and on top parmesan cheese. All really delicious! Very lovely atmosphere, great service!
Alte Residenz is a nice place with seats outdoor in front of restaurant's entry under a few trees, and along the main road of Paderborn's Neuhaus. Pretty noisy but still very nice to dine out there since it's joy to visit in Paderborn anyway, also Alte Residenz is located right around the Neuhaus Castle. Restaurant's atmosphere, service, and waitresses are nice, and so is the food. Their fillets of pork with leaf spinach and fries were definitively good, and recommendable. Less tasty was their Berliner Weisse.
Alex's is located in the downtown part of the city and across from Feuerstein. This place has the best hamburgers I have ever eaten and the best part is that it is cheap!
Favorite Dish: Definitely the hamburgers because when I was studying over in Paderborn last year I was missing American food and I was craving a hamburger so when I saw they had it on their menu I thought I would give it a try, not thinking how amazing it would be. But it was great! I highly recommend it to anyone who is there and wants to stop in.
The food is really fresh and tasty. I enjoyed it every time :)
Feuerstein is in a wooden-style with a relaxed atmosphere. Just a place to visit with your friends and have a good meal or drink without having to worry about the dress-code etc.
A good downtown location makes it good accessible (with most of the bus lines).
Favorite Dish: I enjoyed the Schnitzel-choice of Feuerstein. Can't tell which one was the best :) Each one is described in the Menu, so you can decide for yourself :)
For italian-food-lovers there's a choice of pizzas, etc. and they haven't forgotten to add some dishes for vegetarians as well!
