This is the highest railway bridge in Germany, crossing the valley over the Wupper river. Really impressive and more than 100 years old!

The valley itself is really beautiful, with the clear water of the river, a minigolf course, a beergarden and a monument saying that one of the last prussian kings visited the site once.

Very busy Chinese restaurant with a great buffett dinner. very friendly staff.

Favorite Dish: everything from starters over all the main courses of the buffett to desserts like baked pineapple, banana and apple!

A wonderful place with great staff who make you feel really welcome. Every guest seems to be special to them!

Menu is written with chalk on little blackboards, huge selection of pancakes and salads and some other dishes. Cocktails and small choice of wines.

Busy place even during the week, with a mixed crowd. Great atmosphere!

What to buy: Getrockneter Wupperschlamm means dried mud of the Wupper river and it is delicious :-)

In other places in Germany they call it gingerbread, and you only get it around Christams (startinginSeptember..). But you get Wupperschlamm in the Bergisches Land region throughout the year, during festivals and in souvenir shops! Yummiiiiii!!!!

What to pay: 2 euro for a bag.

What to buy: You can get it in normal shops everywhere, but Zwieback in the Bergische Land region are really a speciality!

They come in different flavours like chocolate, coconut, vanilla, almond, lemon, and they are great for breakfast or for a snack with coffee or tea!
