It is described as a Mexican restaurant but there are many ,many things on the extensive menu thet are not traditionally Mexican so there is something for all and with the addition if seperates and 'tapas' you dont need to order a full meal... plus they serve all manner of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails so its more like a bar as well as a restaurant...the atmosphere is busy and happy and friendly, you are welcome and you are important...they make a point of apologising for the wait but when we were there it was pretty busy and the wait was not actually that long!..there are lots of different places to sit depending on whether you want to be "in the thick of it" or if you want a more romantic table for two or even if a few of you are out together for the night ..its all possible.
They have special themed evenings and operate a Happy Hour sytem too so if you time it right you can keep your costs down.
Favorite Dish: We had the Beef Fajitas and the Pasta with Prawns..bith were very good and the value for money here can not be faulted.
Lubig is a regional bakery chain with its seat in Bonn. The old baker Lubig was one of the pioneers who started selling health food using wholemeal and wheat sprouts already in the 1920s, in connection with an early health food movement (Reformkost) .
The bakery sells wholemeal, organic bread, cakes, rolls and some specialties worth trying. For those who hate "Bio", they also have normal stuff.
Favorite Dish: I love their wholemeal rolls with raisins, dried figs, seeds and nuts.
Café Löhrer is a traditional German Konditorei, a coffeehouse that offers those huge tarts and cakes Germany is famous for.
Besides, they make their own pralines and chocolate. The products of the chocolate manufacture can also be ordered online via their website.
Favorite Dish: Have a hot chocolate or one of their coffee specialities and a piece of cake...
Rheinbach's most upscale restaurant is situated in a beautiful half-timbered house. The chef, Bernd Raths, has international experience and used to work at the guest house of the Federal Government before he opened his own gourmet restaurant in Rheinbach recently.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 12.00 - 22.00
Further offers: cooking classes, upscale catering service, gala dinners
Favorite Dish: Recommendation: visit at lunchtime. The restaurant offers a so-called "Business Lunch menu", which includes 3 courses, bread, a small bottle of mineral water, coffee and biscuits for a fixed price of € 18.50. For entree and main course you have the choice between two different dishes. The menu changes every fortnight.
Abundant and excellent. This is a real bargain for the quality they offer.
Brauhaus is a microbrewery and restaurant. Beer lovers should try their products.
The restaurant is situated in Wilhelmplatz, the busiest intersection in town. The outdoor seating keeps some distance to the street, though, so the traffic doesn't disturb too much.
Favorite Dish: The menu offers a wide range of food, German and international style, good big salads, etc. A number of dishes are offered as entree size so that two or three can be combined to have a full meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the wide choice of vegetarian dishes.
