We walked from the train station in village Hennef to the train station of Stadt Blankenberg.
This pleasant walk is about 11 km, partly through forest.
The walk is well described in the booklet "Mal wieder wandern in Bonn und Umgebung" of the VCD, the Verkehrsclub Deutschland. ISBN 3-936575-15-0. See http://www.walder-verlag.de.
The book is in German, so it helps if you can read German. The walk is also marked with signs like this (>).
We took the train back from Stadt Blankenberg to Hennef, where we had parked our car. Just keep in mind that there is no ticket machine at the train station of Stadt Blankenberg! We did not know this, so we had to board without a ticket. However the trip is just 3 minutes so it's an acceptable risk. The train probably goes only once an hour, so don't miss it!
Stadt Blankenberg has an impressive city wall.
It's worth to follow it and walk around the village!
This Parish Curch (Pfarrkirche) is in the center of Stadt Blankenberg.
It dates from 1258, was burned down in 1983 and rebuild in 1987.
