A visit to the Viersen bierbörse was the reason we visited, and we were a little surprised to discover it was actually held in Dülken (about 4 miles away, 1 stop by train) A little inconvenience but there are enough trains so no real problem.
Anyway on to the bierbörse, great choice of beers on offer, some local with others from much further away, even some kriek for Mrs B to enjoy. Plenty of good eats around too, live music as well, a good festival to visit.

Spent an hour or so here in this quiet park, watched the boules players for a while, and enjoyed the shady seating on a warm and humid morning.

Restaurant at the hotel we stopped at, lovely and traditional , very busy when we visited though service fast and friendly.
Enjoyed our meal here, Mrs B happy with the vegetarian choice and all at a good price.
Kölsch on sale too, another good reason to visit!

Always attracted by Balkan food and spotted Gambrinus on our walk around town, seemed an ideal lunch stop. Pleasant outside seats on a warm day an attraction too.
Not disappointed, both chose a main course which came with a bowl of soup and a visit to the salad bar, all very tasty.
Mrs Bonio happy with the vegetarian choice and I enjoyed my cevapici, good place to visit.
