It was one of the most unsuccessful accommodations we had since 1999 when began our trips to Germany with our dogs. But it wasn’t fault of the hotel or the city. I asked our travel agency to find a hotel not far from Düsseldorf (where SV BSZS 2001 was held) in its surroundings. We didn’t want to live in Düsseldorf itself. Best of all - in a little town where we could have a walk with Asslan after coming back from the stadium in Düsseldorf.
And the agency proposed Wuppertal (30 km from the stadium) – I hadn’t heard about this city and agreed. How we were dissapointed when came there and found that Wuppertal is a large city like Düsseldorf and it was late to change our hotel – I had paid for it beforehand…
Irina was very upset because she couldn’t find even a little of grass for Asslan’s walking around our hotel.
But it was a good lesson for me and I have become more accurate since then in finding hotels.
Be more attentive before choosing a hotel!

In 1999 there was the worst accident of the suspension railway. A piece of metal was left behind by workers working on the track. It made a train derail and crash into the river. 5 passengers lost their lives, 47 of them were injured. But still this train sounds like one of the safest ways of transportation in the world!
