Train:
Trains from Mainz run every 30 minutes and take only half an hour until Bad Kreuznach and Bad Münster am Stein. The train station in Bad Münster is in the middle of the town, and it is easy to walk to the sights to see. In case of Bad Kreuznach it involves either taxi or bus or a longer walk to reach the town centre.
Car:
Bad Kreuznach is located a bit off of A61 (motorway/Autobahn), the one that connects Bonn/Köln (Cologne)/Koblenz (Coblenz)/Mannheim. Parking the car seems to be ridiculously cheap: we paid only 1,50 € for 4 hours!! (now I am used to the gangster and rip off prices of lousy Darmstadt with 1,60 € per hour….) A convenient car park is located very close to the spa part, at the edge of Salinenstrasse (B48 road) and Badeallee (the one which leads directly to the spa hotel). This was the one where we paid this low price and I assume that the other car parks have similar prices.
