Bitburg is most famous for its local beer, Bitburger. There are two breweries in town, the older brewery has a nice little gift shop and gives tours. Pls take a look at the great tips provided by Ewingjr98's page.

This cafe is at the same time a restaurant where at ppl can have also dinner taken with popular Bitburger Beer. I yet had just two cups of hot chocolate with whipped cream. Very yummy. That was back in 2005, Dec 10, and the local Christmas Market had already started and the lights of the town gave such a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere to everything. There for cafe was very cosy and quiet. Not sure though, whether that place still exists, and whether it is that nice as it looked to me back then, or whether the hot chocolate is that tasty as it was.

Plenty of concerts in the summer.
You might have to show an ID at the entrance due to age restrictions of drinking and what you can drink.
Awesome music. Great for people who love rock and occasional techno.
Cheap drinks.
Don't try sneaking in.. You will most likely get caught and will be required to pay.
Mainly for ages 16-30.
Concerts start around 7 P.M. and last usually until 5 A.M. the next day.
Try not to drive there yourself. If you are a tourist, take a taxi just incase you are over the legal limit of drinking (Cant drive home then).
Dress Code: Jeans, closed shoes, and bring a jacket because it will get a little chilly around 1 A.M.

Pls take a loot at the great tips provided by Ewingjr98's page: The Eifel has no major cities, and only a few mid-size towns such as Bitburg and Wittlich. Like most of Germany, this area is crisscrossed by a few autobahns and passenger rail lines, making transportation to and from the major tourist areas easy and convenient. If you don't make sure about directions in advance, you will get lost easy too.

please watch out for booking and paying any train ticket from Putz Travel Agency in Bitburg. They will charge you for the most expensive train and not provide you with any options, plus they charge a 10 euro's fee. They are the only travel agency where you can buy a ticket but you can go to any other agency for the schedule and the best fare and buy the ticket at the train station or from one of the many machines at the train stations.

Pls take a look at the great tips provided by Ewingjr98's page: Bitburg was also home to a US Air Force Base throughout the Cold War. The base has since closed, but the housing area is still used.
