There is not a great deal to do in Enkenbach in the way of seeing sites or numerous activities. It is a quiet, relaxing place in which one can enjoy their time. It is common to see families or friends taking time to walk through the woods together to a restaurant or get a beer. This although it doesnt sound exciting is quite a nice way to spend your time. From here it is easy to travel to the larger cities in southern Germany.

Franco's is across the street from my brother. This is the best local restaurant by far. The service is excellent, the food is wonderful with very large portions, and Franco is the nicest eatery owner I have ever met! If you want a drink to warm your bones, Franco will make you happy indeed.
Favorite Dish: The simple meat pizza was awesome. The lasagna was amazing and the cheese bread was perfect. Everything was made fresh and served piping hot.

The Pfalzer Hof, like many German Gasthouses, is operated by a few locals that cater to the local german taste. It is a moderately sized restaurant that provides a good atmosphere for those who want to enjoy one anothers company. There are many regulars, including myself when I am there, that you will often see enjoying a beer or good food. The regional beer is always good whether you like Pils or a Weizen beer.
Favorite Dish: I highly recommend the Jagerschnitzel. This is a breaded meat, often pork, with mushrooms in a dark seasoned sauce. Often I enjoy this with pommes,(french fries) or bratkartoffeln (potatoes). If you dont like mushrooms or the gravy like sauce you can get schnitzel many different ways including Wiener Art, which is just the breaded meat. This also is very good. One can also enjoy local rheinland pfalz foods and other stereotypical german foods such as bratwurst.
