Great staff, multilingual menus and servers. The owner is enthusiastic and warm. food is excellent, with emphasis on traditional German Gasthaus fare. Rahmenschnitzel was great, the Wienerschnitzel was creditable, and the spaetzle were truly excellent. nice wine selections. Service was attentive. The Stube is a neighborhood hangout. Nice deck for warmer weather dining with vies of sunsets over the mountains.

    Cozy, modern inn.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Hiking shoes, binoculars, camera, walking stick, clothing layers.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: blister treatment. Dunno about bugs, as we were there at Easter.

Photo Equipment: Long lenses or super-zoom digital camera.

Miscellaneous: Visitor center in Gemuend is an interpretive center and gateway to the Eifel National Park. plenty of bird, flora and fauna guides available.
