Lovely old building lured us inside, friendly service and good food and wine did not disappoint. It seems that the best German wine is kept at home, anything available in the UK is not too good but here a marvellous bottle of very dry Reisling went down a treat with the tasty home cooked food.

Anyone who met me on this trip will know how much I like to try the cakes and the beers of a place, and I don't care if I mix the two. Boppard was no exception, and at this cafe in the main square I had a quite ridiculously large beer and an equally ridiculously small cake, so small it didn't even make it into a picture and was inhaled in one go.

This place isn't really a restaraunt, it is a bar/club. After seeing the German Eck, me and Seth were hungry, and seeking shelter from the hail. We went in there, and the bar wasn't really open, but the bar owner let us in and served us some sandwhiches and beer, while we watched the Olympic Games. It's a good memory.
Favorite Dish: schinken mit tomaten and fromage.

Loerely Hotel restaurant - we were staying at the hotel here (pre-booked in UK) and each night we could choose from the a la carte menu. Big meat portions.
Favorite Dish: The steaks were great as was the fish which was skillfully deboned by the chef at the table. One night I wasn't very hungry so I orderd an omelete - it was massive and stuffed full of german sausage!! Wonderbar!!

And this was really a good spot after an awful afternoon driving under the beating sun ... 'Osteria 900' ... this is something we went for to make our white wines not so lonely on the table ...

the salatgarten is a self service vegetarian restaurant near the rathaus. you can create your own vegetarian meal at a reasonable price.
