There is a small car-ferry at Oestrich-Winkel that will take you to the left bank of the river Rhine, to Ingelheim. (a small village, 4 km south of Bingen ) This car-ferry might make sense, when you want to escape the trafic-jams of Ruedesheim, BUT ONLY cars under 2,2 meters of hight might use it due to a low train-bridge in Oestrich-Winkel.
Rheinfaehre Oestrich-Winkel is leaving at oestrich-Winkel:
Mon-Fri from 06.00a.m. Sat. 07.00 & Sun 08.00a.m.
last sailing is at 09.00p.m.
In Ingelheim all ferries start and end
15 minutes after these times,
so the 1st ride is 06.15a.m. etc....
