And the highlight of this night is the big firework on the Altmarkt! It? s beautiful!!
On that way we have often fireworks on the weekends on the elb.

It is difficult to get ticket for the opera! In case you are really a music lover, you might have a look at other locations, too:
Schloss Albrechtsberg (fantastic ambience in the Crown's Hall!)
Zwinger courtyard (open air, June - Sept)
Kulturpalast
churches (Kreuzkirche e.g.)
These are only a few examples. There are some more, you may go to the "Ticketcentrale" in the Kulturpalast (Altmarkt square) and find out.
Try to dress a bit upscale. Everyone knows (and accepts) that tourists cannot drag around Smoking and evening wardrobe, but try at least ... Leave a Comment

The opera looks even better in the evening and there is a counter inside the building, that will open 1 hour before the performance will start, and they will sell the rest-tickets.
You may as well click on my link below and order your tickets well in advance.
A ticket will of course give you also the opportunity to take pics inside of the Semperoper, BUT it might be the best, NOT to use a flash !!!
In the Semperoper decent clothings are a must, although I am rather certain, nobody will care a lot about jeans, as long as they look decent. Leave a Comment

Places like this are not really "my cup of tea" BUT it is funny to take a look and to take photographs for VT : Der Knast / (the prison) is a place that I saw, when walking to the Pf...Molkerei in Bautzener Strasse.
The outfit of the place sprang into my eyes and so I decided to go there with Andrey and Ingo the other day...
...BUT Ingo told me, that this place is getting quite rought later in the night, with strange people in leather clothings etc.
You may take a look inside through the window and see that all the tables are surrounded by iron-fences.
They open at 05.00p.m. and close again at 02.00a.m.
It might be OK to have a beer there in the early afternoon, at 05.30p.m. I just saw 2 people sitting inside.
It might be best to avoid the rough people who get there later !!
