    There are so many wonderful choices on the menu it is really hard to decided but I went with the lamb. They do have english menus which is always a bonus.

    It was a Sunday night and they had a belly dancer. You can also get a hooka here if you are so inclined. Downstairs you can sit traditional style with cushions on the Fußboden.

    Hummus with a ground lamb in the center and some olive oil. YUM.

    Bussmann's has a semi South American theme, boasting a large mural of Rio de Janeiro on the 2nd floor wall. However, my favorite offerings from the menu were decidedly German. They usually have a lounge singer Tuesday - Sunday nights. I thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. During my visit, we were treated to an Australian performer named Trevor Jones who was really terrific. Evidentally he's playing at Ayers Rock (also in Dresden) in August 2007 and will be back at Bussmann's in December 2007. If you're going to be in the area, drop by to give him a listen - he's a lot of fun.

    I loved their potato soup; it was full of fresh veggies and chunks of yummy sausage. I went to Bussmann's at least 7 or 8 times and had the soup 5 of them! They have an excellent drink menu as well.

    A hip cafe in the Neustadt with a beautiful, large courtyard in the back. I sat outside under a huge tree, drank red wine and dined on a wonderful quiche.

    This restaurant just happened to be down the street from where we were staying, so we decided to drop in before some sightseeing. The waitress suggested I order schnitzel, which I did, and which was delicious! Cozy, comfortable outdoor seating and good German beer too!

    Try the schnitzel for an authentic German experience.

    Impossible to be more than central located than this restaurant !!!!!
    In the basement of an old historical building beside the Frauenkirche, several rooms each one decorated in a different style ... but everything is about recalling history.
    People singing and joking can makes your dinner a funny one or an horrible as well :-)

    Wuerzfleisch !!!! ... and skip the starters unless you have a cubic meter stomach.

    If you want to impress your girlfriend, have a romantic dinner with your wife or just give yourself a special treat, this one is right for you!
    The only Hotel rated as luxury class in Dresden (the Hilton for example just get´s first class...) i thought the prices would be astronomical. But I was surprised, actualy it is very affordable for a special occasion.
    For a 6 course meal you pay 56€. Not realy something a budget traveller can afford every day but trust me it´s worth it!
    Remember this is very high class and so men should wear at least a black trouser and a polo shirt.

    The Sophienkeller is probably the first tourist restaurant stop in Dresden - huge cellar restaurant with strolling minstrels and other characters out of the last few centuries. Although it's a kitch palace (called Dresden's most beautiful vaulted restaurant), the food is actually very good.
