Serving up wonderful Italian pizzas and pasta with a great view over the Markt is the Ristorante-Pizzeria "Firenze". The service is very friendly, and the owner genuinely Italian as is the food. For the quality of flavour and location the price is also extremely good value. I sat outside and watched as the evening crowds headed for the town center in the lengthening shadow of the Stadtkirche St Wenzel.
Caféhaus Kattler is a traditional German café with an elegant, somewhat old-fashioned interior. There is a wide choice of cakes, and the waitress was extraordinarily friendly! The place was visited by both tourists and locals, and I liked the lively atmosphere very much. It was such a typical lovely German café, such as I visited with my Grandma when I was younger.
Favorite Dish: I was very surprised to discover that it was possible to order a small bowl of fruit! I think this is fantastic, not only for vegans like me, but also for people with a lactose allergy and people who want to lose weight or who don't wish to eat processed food.
It was a mix of banana, apple, kiwi, strawberry, grape and melon. The fruit was not all very good because the kiwi was a bit old and the melon very cold, but all in all it was ok and I was just happy that they offered it.
Well, this is not a typical German restaurant and surely the best in town but it caught my eye because of the prices. I walked down the street and saw the sign "Lunch for 2.90 €". That's really a bargain and the plate made me satiated.
