We did not really sightsee in Zöschen, but driving around we saw a few things like a very nice windmill. There was also a WWII memorial near the church but we didn't stop to look because at that time we had not yet found what we were looking for and we were somehow convinced that the concentration camp remnants were perhaps in Doelkau. Had we stopped we would've seen a small stone remembering the Dutch victims.

We assigned ourself a task to find a former concentration camp where many Belgian and Dutch men were kept prisoner during WWII 40-45. We drove around the little village but no sign or any indication showed where it should be. We were hesitant to ask any of the locals but we are fairly sure we found a remnant next to the Zoeschener Machine factory along Am Schachtteich (street name).
There was a locked gate but nobody commented when we climbed over to see a bit closer what was behind. Here are some photos.
There is not a lot of information about this camp on the internet, nor about the one very near in Doelkau, but these photos might help other people if they are looking for similar information. Or I would be grateful if others had any more information.

Address: Am Schachtteich, Zoeschen
Just outside the village there's this map of Zöschen. We're fairly sure that the former concentration camp was along Schachtteich.
