Seat yourself

It's helpful to know that in most restaurants you seat yourself, as opposed to waiting for a host to seat you. This is true for most of the places that wouldn't be considered upscale. Some of the fancier places will seat you. Just a tip so you don't stand around waiting for someone to seat you as locals breeze by and snatch up the tables.

I first encoutered Aldi's at home. It was a new idea of low, low prices and you bag your own groceries (the bag costs 15 cent). I was shocked and amazed to see Aldi's in Berlin. I was told that 2 brothers started the store in Berlin and then it expanded. I just didn't consider that a discount grocery store would be international.
