At the centre of the park across the Marienkirche, a Neptunbrunnen or the Neptune Fountain is definitely an amazing scene. Just by looking at the bronze statue is entertaining and attractive in any angle with Neptune on top holding his trident. You will see Neptune in the photo I posted here with one of the four female symbolic nymphs. All of the four femaile statues were sitting on four sides of the fountain.

If you are into museum and you are in Berlin, Altes Museum is a 'must see'. From the outside is the greek styled theme similar to the Roman Pantheon in Acropolis Greece, thus creating an extensive collection of Greek and Roman antiquities. Just out in the centre of the museum is the giant bowl carved out of a single piece of stone. This Rose Bowl act as a centrepiece and was built by famous Berlin artisans. The museum is situated on the Museum Island or Museumsinsel in Am Lustgarten. It is amazing that after it was burned down during the Second World War, Altes Museum still looks wonderful after it was rebuilt in the 60s and reopened in 1966. It is considered the third oldest museum in Germany and Berlin's oldest in particular. You can see in the photos, the Berlin Cathedral or the Berliner Dom. It was built in ten years time between 1895 & 1905.
You will be able to visit the Berliner Dom as it is open everyday. You will experience the very interesting interior decoration which is unique most especially the magnificent Sauer's Organ and the stained glass designs.

The planner or per say the designer of Berlin Dom was Julius Raschodorff and it was finished in the year 1905. The dom is 74-m-high which is supported by pilars of sandstone and decorated with mosaics by Antonio von Werner. Unfornately the Berliner Dom was terribly damage on World War II and it was restoration about the year 1974. This was the earlier or previous border crossing of the Soviet and the American tanks which faced off the following the construction of the Wall in August year 1961.
We understand there has been quite a few replicas of this CHECKPOINT CHARLIE, as often as they change it is more and more exciting to see.
Many teams of the international architects have been drafted to redesign the no-man’s land with instructions to merge the eastern as well as the western parts of the city.
Few steps from this CHECKPOINT CHARLIE", you will find a quite interesting museum, as we said, it’s quite interesting as there you will see genuine history, photos of Adolph Hitler and many heavy world wide history of Berlin as well as many other parts of Berlin. These museum is not at all cheap, it costs us a little over ten euros just to walk around this tiny museum although full of black and white photos of well known historic of Berlin. The photos my wife did not care to see although it was there and well displayed are the photos of the topographies des terrors, these were the horrible terror or the secret police where the Gestapo and Hitler’s fellow man were, also photos of the Sachsenhausen....showing those horrible Nazis and those extermination camps located all over Berlin...those are just the things my wife did not care to see as it made her cry ...not that she knew anyone in particular it’s just in human acts.
Although the museum is yes quite interesting and if you find the time then we would suggest you visit it.

We spent over an hour viewing the images and listening to the audio. All the writing is in German but the information centre has audio guides for free hire when you leave your passport or drivers license. An absolute must.
It is an open air display so not worth doing in extreme weather conditions.
