I was lucky to know a local gentleman whom owns a sailing yacht, so weather permitting and a good wind .... sailing is order of the day on the good yacht 'Mary Ann'.

You can just watch all the boats in the marina or enjoy the atmosphere. You can also rent boats and make trips on the Baltic Sea or to other parts of the coast..

A great experience for children (adults also allowed).
It was a great fun for Muriel. It's quite exensive (5 € for 5 minutes) but it's worth to try.

Everywhere on the promenade and in town you find shop who sell good and expensive marina clothes from well known designers. So if you like this (and can afford it;-))...

The shops are opened 7 days the week.

Favorite thing: Strandkörbe or roofed wicker beach chairs are a very German tool on beaches. You can rent them on all public beaches. They are for use in sunshine, rain and even storm. They have a roof, so you are protected against sunburn, rain & winds. The all cost about 7,-- € some more, some less. If you rent them for more then a day you get a key so you can store your personal beach items. They also have little tables where you can put your food or books.

Fondest memory: I wish I had a Strandkorb in my garden but they are quite expensive...
