This was pretty interesting. On our way back, as we were crossing the Trave quay, we saw many elderly men busy catching fishes there. It was dark and the entire sight looked so unusual and interesting.
If you're heading for a relaxing and entertaining night out, try the "TibiaTick", Lübeck's smallest pub. Quite some interesting CD background music (Rock, Jazz, Folk, feel free to bring your own CDs with you), inexpensive drinks, small snacks, friendly people, many of them coming not in groups but by their own (male as well as female) and always open for a chat with visitors. You will usually end up in the mids of the crowd :-)
Every fortnight on Thursday evening there is a free table quiz held in German & English (see exact days at www.tibiatick.de), where you play with table partners against other teams. Newcomers always welcome, just ask Drews (the chap behind the counter) for details. Closed on Sundays & Mondays.
Dress Code: No special dress code - Come as you are.
There seems to be not a great nightlife in Altstadt Lübeck, it's really a quiet town, so the best thing to do is going to some "Bierstuben", like this one where you can drink good beers in a bit smoky atmosphere, listening to some good music.
The owner of this pub is really a characteristic man, with a really long beard, but anyway he has been very kind and friendly and the place is rather old and picturesque!
Amadeus is a great place to start your tripp in to the great night on town!
Icehouse is the better place you can get, with three bars and a dj on second floor on a balcony!
This place called Icehouse is my favorite, because it contains famous people and nice girls. The best is its look! Must see it to understand me!
Dress Code: Nice. What else. You don't wanna look like a jurk around everybody else there!
Inside of the historical casino is every saturday disco. They have 3 floors: house, 70/80 music and soul. It is always very full and you always meet many people. It is very good because there are many bars and other places where the music is mot so loud. They also have a big veranda outside where you have a lovly view on the Baltic sea.
