As island is very small you cand rent a bike and travel with it. It is not very expensive and by the way nobody will steall it.
We rent it at Momme von Holt. People who works there are very nice and inteligent. They helped us with our bags to get to the place (they took our lugage to the place).
How to find them? Just with bus from ferry go to Kurzentrum. Close to bus stop you will find public toilet. on the same side of street od dirrection to Hafen is place where you can rent a bike.

You can get from Husum to Nordstrand by bus and there are ferries to Pellworm. When ferry arrives to Pellworm you can take local bus to get to the village or go two kilometers on foot.
