The easiest way to get to Wedel from Hamburg is by S--Bahn line S 1. Wedel is the last stop. It takes about 40 minutes from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, 30 minutes from Altona and 15 from Blankenese.
But you also can take the bus.
The bus has several stops in Wedel. To visit the Welcome Point, go to Schulauer Fährhaus.
...or you can take a boat. When you have time, and the weather is fine, this is certainly the most relaxing way to get there.

Come here to see with a bit of luck really huge ships passing by or just enjoy the views at the river and the little boats on it on a sunny day.

After leaving Hamburg, we took a leisure drive and found ourselves at Wedel, a small scenic picturesque town west of Hamburg. As the weather was glorious, we decided to stay here and look for lunch.
