The Paulinenturm is a highly visible landmark that stands on a small mountain overlooking Bad Berka. The tower was built in 1884 and is 26 metres in height with 143 steps, giving wonderful views over the countryside. The tower was closed when I visited during the week but I was told its open at weekends.

I used the Pizzeria Capri a number of times during my stay in Bad Berka. The owner, who is Jordanian, speaks English, which was a bonus. Besides different types of pizzas, there are various types of meals involving kekab meat, as well as spaghetti meals and salads. It does take away but I ate in each time I went there and was joined one night by the owner and his assistant, making for an almost family type of meal.

Favorite Dish: Donerteller. This is a large tasty meal for 5 euros.
