On Markt, and warm enough to sit outside but very pleasant inside also. A lunchtime visit for us, rosti for me and spinach with fried eggs for vegetarian Mrs B. All nicely cooked and washed down by a couple of local Rosen pils all with friendly service, enjoyed our visit here.
I guess the restaurant is named after the founder of Jena whose statue stands on Markt, just outside.

As the name suggests, a Balkan restaurant, this always interests me! many typical German dishes too.
Right, they also do accomodation and we were stopping here so we ate in both evenings, this is very unusual for us - we enjoyed our first meal so much a second visit was needed too.
Good vegetarian options for Mrs Bonio, from the grill for me (Cevapici and Rasnici) all very tasty in a friendly, comfortable reastaurant, lots of tables in the beer garden too but always seemed to be full.
Local Rosen pils is sold, another good point, it's a decent pint.
There's a small animal zoo to amuse the children and Mrs Bonio!

Great dishes, really nice expirience during the summer, when you can sit on the tables which are outside and have a coffee or drink.
Once we were sitting outside drinking absinth and there were a group of older mexican guys ... suddenly out of the nothing they brough guitars, drums and other stuff and they played and singed all the evening about the love & life ... was extraordinary ... see the photo :)
Favorite Dish: Ask for Absinth ... they serve ot the czech way ...

Address: Jena downtown
In the middle of Jena right in the Wagnergasse, where many of pubs and restaurants are situated, you find the “Gatto Bello”. In the summertime you can sit outside on the terrace and watch the people go by. But also in the inside it’s very nice and offers a lot of space. Service is very kind, guests in every age and the prices are very moderate.
Favorite Dish: I can recommend the “Sommersalat” with turkey, different green salads, nuts and honey-curry-dressing surrounded by fresh fruits – unbelievable good! Also the “Reibekuchen mit Lachs und Kaviar” (a kind of potatoecakes with salmon and caviar) was wonderful. The portions are huge (for a woman ;-) and it tastes great.

Restaurant's name can be translated as “house of potatoes”. As the name tells here you get everything with potatoes. Together with an excellent service, moderate prices and comfortable atmosphere this restaurant is unique.

Address: market square - in the opposite of the town hall
I don´t know the name, but it is a café in the near of the market.
Italian Ice cream, I guess.
Favorite Dish: It doesn´t really matter which sundae you choose - for the price it is much more than you would expect in Berlin. The Ice balls only cost 60 cents and are really big. And you have even the flavour Nutella!!!

This is a restaurant wich like especially students, but not only. You can eat there spaghetti or pizza. The choice is good. In the summer they have the restaurant garden.
