It's very interesting to learn more and more about Johann Wolfgang von Goethe whose name is often heard and spoken with pride in this city.
I was moved to hear about his life story and wanted to read more about him and to read his works, too.
This portrait is from Goethe Museum in Weimar.
It was painted by Joseph Stiller in 1828 when the writer was over 70.

After my visit to Schiller Museum I understood I have to know more about the ouitstanding activities of this great poet.
He is very much revered in this city for he spent several years here living in the house that houses his museum now.
This portrait is from that museum.
It was painted by Anton Graff in 1786.
