Frankfurt and the Main River from the east
by Nemorino
Here the Frankfurt skyline and the Main River can be seen from an unusual vantage point, namely from the railway bridge leading to Frankfurt East Station.Long-distance trains usually do not cross this bridge, unless they have to be rerouted for some reason. But some of the regional trains do cross here, for instance the Regional Express trains that run once an hour from Frankfurt to Hanau, Aschaffenburg, Würzburg and Nürnberg, and the local trains that serve the north bank of the Main between Frankfurt and Hanau. For a closer look at the twenty-two tallest buildings in the city of Frankfurt am Main, please click here to start the Frankfurt Skyline Countdown, which is now on my Land Hessen page.
