A longer and more interesting barefoot path than the one near the lake is in Waldhölzbach. It starts at the main street next to the restaurant Forellenhof. There's a shelf where you can put your shoes, but we prefered to carry them with us. There's also a bench where you can wash your feet in the water of the small river after you did the tour.
The path is 1,7 km long and mainly goes on meadow which is very agreable to walk on. However sometimes you had to walk on forest soil which wasn't that nice with all the little wood pieces. My feet obviously are very sensitive! Besides there were places where you could test how it is to walk on stones, large and little ones, on sand or on bark mulch, really interesting. Which also was much fun was the parts that you could walk through a small river – boy, was this cold!!Related to:

Near the lake is a so-called Kneippanlage with a tank of cold water that you can walk through and one where you can put your arms in. As of Kneipp this is good for your cardiovascular system – and after a long hike, walking through this cold water makes your feet feel much better!
This place is very nice and well maintained, and includes also a little "barefoot path". This means there's a path over the meadow with sometimes some other materials you can walk on, like wood or stones. There's also a small river that you can walk through.

The "park of the four seasons" is a garden with all kind of trees, bushes, and flowers. It's not very big although it has 50.000 square meters, and it seems pretty new. Most plants were still little and although it was June not much was in blossom. So we've been a bit disappointed. I guess in a few years this will look better! There had been some nice parts, though, like the NABU garden (NABU is the Society for Nature Conservation) where still some construction was going on, and the beds with the larger flowers. Plus you have a nice view on the lake!
Open daily from at least 11:00 to 17:00, longer in summer.
Admission: 2,80 € adults, 1,50 € children.

The restaurant is close to the lake with view on the lake from their terrace. There just were a large party in the restaurant but we could eat there anyway and were in a adjacent room. They have a good choice and which I found great was that you could get most dishes in "small" and "normal". We women had enough with our small portions while the men enjoyed their larger portions! I had a salad plate and others had things like fillet of pork with pepper sauce, cordon bleu or fish, and we all found it very good.
