OK, we are spoilt in Canada... we do not have to weigh and label our produce.
Our first shopping trip was filled with confusion as the lady at the till told us (in German) that we were to weigh our produce. We stared back with blank looks and a line up of people behind us. We relized what she was saying when she got up and weighed our produce for us :) Opps...
Next trip back, try to weigh the food when you dont understand the machine! Thank God for friendly Germans who help stupid shoppers!

They had these automatic bottle return things in grocery stores. You just put the bottle in and it spits out your voucher for money!
WOW! That is a whole lot better than sorting them yourself!
