Favorite thing: Take the cable lift to the top of the Rock. Cabs offer rides to small groups and they stop at various monkey hangouts, but it didn't look very appealing to me. We took the lift up and hiked down to St. Michael's caves and a little beyond. Then we found the stairs beneath the cable lift and climbed back up to the top to catch the lift down.
Fondest memory: We drove down to the very tip of Gibraltar to catch our first glimpse of Africa. It was very tempting to hop on the ferry to Morocco, but Sevilla called. . .

Favorite thing: The Rock and the cable car. If you are in good shape, go to the top by the cable car and walk back down to the city. On a good weather africa is clearly visible. On the way down you see the apes and visit caves, military museum, guns or moorish castle.
Fondest memory: It's really amazing how intelligant the apes are. They will easily regonaize food supplies even with the plastic covers! Once I left my bag open a couple of steps away from me beause I was taking a picture. Suppendly one ape noticed that and went to my bag search for food. He kept throwing my things until he found an unopened triple bag of Twix! Then he run to tree nearby and moved the double plastic bags. Did I break the rule 'Don't feed the apes'?

Favorite thing: The most convenience way gets to the rocks is taking the cable car. The cable car station is near the Gibraltar Botanical Gardens. At the top, you will have a fine good view.
