Cafe Cyberworld: A drink and a chat

by bugalugs

One way to spend a bit of time is to catch up on vt with a visit to Cafe Cyberworld. Its a bar and a cafe and internet access as well.Very relaxed and friendly place. Drinks were not too expensive but the internet rate I thought was.30 minutes is £2.501 hour is £4.50

Ye Old Rock Pub

by keeweechic

Just a small little pub but with character. There is lots of naval and military memorabilia on the walls suggesting that the pub was used by weary sailors and the like. There is a large wooden bar taking up good part of this narrow little pub. Friendly atmosphere.

The Star Bar: Oldest Bar in Gib

by St_Vincent

The Star Bar professes to be the oldest bar in Gibraltar and has a nice local feel to it and friendly service. The tables have inlaid maps of the town and local newspapers are available. Worth a visit.

The Angry Friar: Tourist Pub

by St_Vincent

The Angry Friar is probably the best known tourist pub in Gibraltar although by no means the best. It has a good location in an open square near the Governor’s residence so it’s ideal if you want to sit outside and do a bit of people watching. If you watched Michael Palin’s series Sahara this is the spot in Gibraltar that he was seen leaving on his way to Morocco.

Gibraltar centre: Beauty at night

by katepj

Thought I would wander round the centre of Gib and took the camera almost by chance. It was really relaxing, people walking, talking, sitting, going home - with a backdrop of great buildings. Well worth an hour or two's leisurely stroll. Wandering round Gib streets for a couple of hours - er flattish shoes or boots in my opinon.

Casemates Square: Casemates Saunter!

by Gillybob

Casemates Square is a must do on Friday evenings. There are a number of bar restaurants where you can get a great meal, enjoy it at your leisure and just wait for them to convert over to a nightclub. Casual.

Matchbox: Great, Friendly Bar

by Ujamaflip

A little off the beaten track, the Matchbox is a small, friendly little place. The best thing here is the company, everybody knows everybody, and newcomers are welcomed like the regulars. Absolutely None!

All's Well: Drink till it's dry

by africaking

All's Well a bar situated within the Casemates Square, it is built into the old army barracks (also once home to the many Moroccans who live in Gibraltar) All of the old army barracks have since been opened into bars or restaurants or both, this place is the centre of all entertainment, during the summer, events are held within the square, karaoke, dancing, live bands etc.One of the best bars are All's Well, serving popular brands of drink and plenty of variety at good competative prices, but do be aware that prices are not cheap within Casemates, prices for a pint of lager usually start at £2.00, so be sure to have wallet crammed if heading for a night out with friends. My favourite drink here is Veba Cherry(alchopop), quite sweet but refreshing, don't drink too many unless you want to spew red fluid all night. There is no dress code for this place, people come dressed in what ever they...

Bars and Casino's

by freya_heaven

We didnt sample the nightlife in Gibraltar, with having out 18 month old daughter in tow. But there were so many bars and restaurants throughout Gibraltar. Also there are plenty of British service men and women, I am sure it can get pretty lively there. If you fancy your chances there is a Casino in the Rock Hotel, Smart Dress only.More details of the Rock Hotel in my Accommodation Tips.

Pubs Pubs Pubs: Pubs and Beer Pubs and Beer

by EdinburghRoc

Well as you can tell I like Beer and where do you find Beer? In Pubs !The clientele may well be Royal Navy British Army or Marines not forgetting the RAF. Casual is cool.
