Luggage and bags: Smart, small, and as little as possible. If you have the money you can buy anything you need. If you haven't the money you are unlikely to need to spend money buying things. You don't need money to enjoy Gibraltar.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Definitely something flat for walking from one end of the Rock to the other.
And some smart shoes so you don't feel outclassed by all the immaculate Gibraltarian women who combine Spanish chic with British class. One pair of smart trousers (whatever the weather), plus something you feel comfortable in (shorts/skirt/dress). Some type of weather protection - hat, light raincoat, lightweight Goretex in winter, sunhat in summer. Probably a telescopic umbrella in winter too. Or just stay in when it rains. And do your washing if you have an apartment with a machine. (See my review on Ocean Heights)
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Don't forget at least some make-up to start with .... for the above reason (ie smart Gibraltarian women knocking spots off you). You can buy cosmetics, contact lens solution in Gib. You can also buy products not tested on animals - there is a good natural products shop in Engineer's Lane, just past the Apple shop. I think there are others but I just fell on this one.
Photo Equipment: Great photo opportunities. If you are not backpacking bring a charger for your batteries. (British plugs.) Plus an adaptor if you are coming from anywhere that doesn't do three-pin plugs.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Tent only if you are staying in La Casita(just before San Roque)/Algeciras/Tarifa.
A bikini always fits in a bag - but so does a swimsuit and there is a pool in Gib.
Miscellaneous: An adaptor (or more than one) if you are not bringing three-pin electrical equipment. Gib electricity is three-pin like Britain.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The climate and weather in Gibraltar is extremely nice, but it may be chilly in the evening and morning as the place afterall is situated between to great seas. So bring a sweater for those times of the day, and else summer clothes.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Most things can be found in the supermarkets of pharmacy.
Photo Equipment: Films are expensive there, so buy them at home! I'm not sure if they carry all batteries etc. either, so buy them in Spain or better, again, before you go.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: My rule of thumb is to take enough clothes for one week OR for the length of the trip PLUS two days,
whichever is shorter.
Try to take different colors of shirts/blouses; mixing and matching might fool people into thinking you brought more clothes than you did. That's the whole idea, isn't it? Shh! This is our little secret. Don't let too many people know about it. ;-D
If you are going on an extended trip, pick one color and stick with it... like say black. If you are part of the Generation X clique (ahem!).... REJOICE! Why? Because black travels very well. You can get ketchup stains all over your black jeans or coffee stains on your black t-shirt... and nobody will ever notice! Just make sure they don't stand too close to you to catch a whiff of the...er... Well, I'm sure you know what I mean! :-))
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Ladies, DON'T forget to transfer all your toner, cleanser, night cream et al into small plastic
containers - to save luggage space.
Photo Equipment: I ALWAYS, ALWAYS bring along at least 2 camaras with me... just in case one breaks down. My friends used to laugh at me.... until their one and only camera broke down. When when they have to RELY SOLELY on me and my amateurish photographic skills, they stopped laughing. Yes, immediately. Serve them right!
:-))
Miscellaneous: Photo Below: That's me onboard a Spanish board... with the ROCK OF GIBRALTAR behind me. Can you spot it?
