Main Street is the main shopping street. There are hundreds of shops, mostly selling the same items. Electronics, souvenirs and jewellery are reported to be cheap in Gibraltar but we didn't think so. Be prepared to haggle the prices here too, it's quite acceptable.
Cigarettes are cheap in Gibraltar (£1.50 per packet, 2010). Alcohol is cheap too except Spanish wines.Related to:

duty free and anything else
If there is any shopping to be done in Gibraltar, the main place for that is going to be Main Street a street that is lined with shops and bars, there are a lot of duty free shops and electrical shops, also clothes shops are a plenty, prices pretty mush equal British prices except for the duty free, such as perfume cigs and alcohol.
What to buy: Cigs, and alcohol is a big bonus for shopping in Gibraltar as well as selling British products that you don't get to see other than in the U.K.
What to pay: Depending on what you want to buy, set your budget, some items are a little pricey such as electrical and some foods.Related to:

What to buy: In Gibraltar you can find many items that would be a lot more expensive elsewhere. Main Street is, well the main street in Gibraltar believe it ot not. It stretches all the way from near the Governer's residence down to Casemates Square where the ICC shopping centre is. The are many duty free shops along main street and ive had some good deals on camera equipment. Many of these shops are mini-franchises and one person ro family mgiht own a whole chain. As a result you can barter really easily and just go from shop to shop trying to get cheaper deals. Being a Gibraltarian citizen gets you better deals and discounts as well.
10 petrol stations: A pound go further around
Petrol / diesel etc (gas for american - can they not tell it is a liquid ?) is cheaper in Gibraltar than in Spain.
