  • aura creations: great little jewelry shop

    by seaweed1094 Written Oct 14, 2013

A great little shop on the main high street in gibraltar, its opposite peacocks the clothing shop, I went in to check it out and they have great gifts and very cheap, some of the items are silver with pearls and some are fashion items, i
Ive been there everytime I visit gib and always get great bargins, the people working inside are also very helpful and nice, I recommend you visit this shop.
Most of the other shops are overpriced for pears or silver or anything so why shod we pay so much???

What to buy: Fashion jewellery items here!!!!!

What to pay: The average necklace with a chain is 10-15 pounds, bags are also 10 and 15.

    Marks & Spencer

Right on Main Street is a small Marks & Spencers store. You will also find many other British well known names here on the main thoroughfare. The store is not huge but big enough. Still a little expensive if you are converting from lower currencies.

    Gibraltar Crystal

This is a beautiful shop well worth a visit. They sell some amazing handmade glasses, tableware, vases, decanters to name but a few of the items for sale. The unique one of a kind pieces are simply stunning in their colour and designs. You can even design your own wine glass and have it engraved.

The company started in 1994 and brought in accomplished glassmakers from the UK and from their crafts they started to supply upmarket retailers back in the United Kingdom. They now create pieces for worldwide corporate clients such as Rolls Royce, Royal Bank of Scotland as well as the Queen who commissioned pieces for the Royal Yacht Britannia.

    Glass Blowing

by keeweechic Written May 7, 2009

Everything is made on the premises and you can watch the craftsmen skilfully creating their pieces from the diesel fuelled furnaces which heat to 1000 degrees C. The glass blowing area is just opposite the showroom and there is an exhibition area about the history of glass and its uses.
