    Gibraltar Mosque

    The Mosque of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques sits on Europa Point. Its was built in 1997 and is claimed to be the largest Mosque in a non Islamic country.

    See the Rock, shop, catch sight of Africa - that's about all we had time for and those are the main activities that I could see. I would imagine there must be some great museums in Gibraltar with all of its history. But it was such a lovely day, we couldn't stay inside!

    To the South, in addition to seeing Africa, you can also see this dramatic mosque.

    Symbol of the british political power, this building at the end of the Main Street offers the tourist the Change of the Guard, a very colourful show.

    The mosque, opened in 1997 was a gift from King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia. The mosque is situated at Europa Point and the calling for prayer can be heard in the evenings.

    Cathedral of Holy Trinity

    A lovely church, very light and airy inside. Building started on this church in 1825 and it was completed in 1832.

    Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque

    This mosque is called the Ibrahim-al-ibrahim mosque and was built in 1997. Paid for by King Fahad-al-Saud of Saudi Arabia.
    It is the most southerly mosque in Europe.
