The Barbary Apes were great! The tour up the rock was a blast! Steve and I joined another couple with our guide Peter for the whole tour of the Rock! And we loved it! Well worth what ever we ended up paying...and was definately a highlight of our trip! Don't dismiss all tourist traps...occassionaly they really pay off!
Unique Suggestions: Remember... don't feed the apes!
Fun Alternatives: Instead of taking the tour...you could always walk up! Or you could take the tram for an airiel view...if the tram is open!

The Apes on Gibraltar are well known and as such will get plenty of contact with tourists, whilst a look but don't touch at a safe distance stance is a recommended and responsible holiday behaviour, many many morons leave their brains in the hotel and pressure the Apes in to unwelcome behaviour which is bad for them, and possibly dangerous for you and I,if you see foolish people pushing food at them stand well back, its not clever or fun, plus you could as I did tell them off.

Apes are on the sightseeing platforms waiting for attention and food. But they don't need food because they have a plenty of monkey food all the time. Yes, they byte, if You don't pay attention to them enough.
